We Ask

If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” Luke 11

Father, we see Your Goodness and Your integrity. We see Your mighty hand when we look out the window. The trees and skies are in their places, singing praises to You, everywhere we look we see Your glory.  You are a good Father, and today we ask.

We ask with every part of our being. We ask because You gave us families. We ask because You told us to ask. We ask because You said You will give us good gifts. We ask for our heart’s desire, the gift of fellowship with our children in Your Holy Spirit. We ask for restoration and complete return of these prodigals.

They know You, they have seen Your works. Today we ask that our children and families return to the fold. We ask that their hearts be stirred, and their sleep disturbed. We ask that no matter how far they have traveled away from You or how cold their hearts, we ask that You bring back our prodigals.

Give them a revelation of the Holy Spirit and His great redeeming power. Give them a shocking, overwhelming awareness of Mercy and Grace to walk away from the world and rebellion. Those who are walking in Your ways, we ask that they have an even deeper understanding of You and love for You that doesn’t end.

We ask, we believe, we trust that this is Your will and Your will be done.

We ask for our husbands to be mighty men of valor who are seek You early and find You in the quiet times of life. We ask that they walk worthy before You and love You with their whole hearts.

We ask that our grandchildren have hearts that love You and receive the gift of life. We ask that they are raised in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. We ask that they love us and that we know how to love them and point them to Jesus. We ask for their protection and to keep them safe. We trust Your timing.

Bless Jerusalem with peace and give them courage to love Your Son.

Bless our nation with Godly leaders who will fight against their own pride.

We ask and we believe in

Christ alone
