Open our hearts, Lord!

Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. Acts 16:14

Father, we thank You for another day to serve You. Let our hearts and minds be on You and Your will. Let our joy of salvation overflow to those around us. You are our King and our deliverer, and we praise You.

Just as You opened Lydia’s heart as Paul was teaching about Jesus, open our hearts to follow Your will. Open the hearts of our children and families to hear You, open their hearts to see You, and open their hearts to follow Your ways. We trust You are working in them and we ask that You bring them spouses, jobs, and friends who will share the things spoken by Paul. Protect them from deception of our times and give them willing hearts to hear.

We ask that You be glorified in their homes and in their hearts so that we may stand before You, worshipping with the next generations. We ask that they heed Your Words and follow You all the days of their lives.

Bless our husbands with willing hearts and give them ears to hear. Let them be obedient to Your Word and speak to them the things of Christ. Strengthen them to be humble and teach to follow You.

Give our grandchildren open hearts to receive You and know You. Let them hear the things of Jesus and follow Him.

Protect them from the wiles of the enemy and surround them with loving people who love Jesus. Give them purpose and let them fulfill the gifts and callings that You have placed in them. Raise them up as Yours and let us all go into the house of the Lord together.

Bless Israel with peace and safety, open their hearts to hear Your Word.

Bless our leaders with wisdom and surround them with Godly counsel.

In Christ alone.
