The Prayer of the Righteous

Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James 5:16

Good morning, Father, we are thankful that You have given us a way to love and bring healing to one another. Forgive us of our sins and let us love and trust one another in new ways. We want to glorify You in this amazing gift of prayer.

Bless each of us as we go about today, honor our prayers and surround us with those who we can share our sins and pray for us earnestly. We thank You for this text group, we can be open and praise You and share our pain and our sins. Our children and their spouses are on our hearts.

Forgive us of the times we have failed and let us know that we are righteous in Your eyes. We want to live without regrets. We know that Your love can heal those sins and restore these relationships. We know that You will is for us to live in peace and that our families are saved and worship You with us.

We ask for that, despite us and because of Jesus choosing You over sin. We pray for healing and hope in their hearts. We ask that Your will be done in them, just like it is done in Heaven. Forgive them, bind up those broken hearts and show them the way to You.

Find them in the dark places and in the churches and turn them into mighty men and women who love You with all their hearts.  Return to us what the cankerworm has eaten and make the cloth whole again.

Give our husbands the humility to confess their sins and the hope to keep praying for our families. Let them be healed and effective in their prayers. Give them humble hearts and righteousness of Christ. Set them free of old regrets and hurts.

Bless our grandchildren with the joy of knowing that You sent other believers to share their weaknesses and failings and You are there to heal their hurts.

Be glorified in them and let them be praying people who love You and want to walk in the right direction. Protect them, prepare them for service and bring the right people into their lives so they can fulfill Your callings. We love them and we love You. Bless them today.

We thank You for the miraculous protection You have shown Your people. We rejoice as they seek the God of their fathers, bless them. Prepare their hearts to receive Jesus.

We pray for our nation, we pray that we will stand up against those who are filled with hate and jealousy. We pray for mercy on our land and we ask for peace.

We believe, we rest and we praise You in all things.
