Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Philippians 4:4-5

Father, we rejoice in You today, our God who gives us life! We rejoice in Your mercies and love. You are always near to us and we praise You.

Let our gentleness be seen by our children and our families.

Let our love for You and for them be a witness to their hearts. You are near to us, be near to them. We rejoice knowing we are Yours, and You deliver all who call on You. Give our families the desire to be in the presence of Your love. Let us draw them close with that gentleness and give them hope.

Soothe the broken hearts and wounded spirits. Heal them. Show them how close You are and how deep Your love is for them. Surround them with love from believers, send them spouses and friends who love You. Let them take joy in Your nearness.

Give our husbands joyful hearts as they love their families. Let their gentleness in You win the lost and hurting. Bless them with health and peace. Show the joy of knowing Jesus. Let their hearts rejoice in Your mercies and give them peace.

Grow the fruit of gentleness in the hearts and minds of our grandchildren.

Protect them from the wiles of the enemy. Strengthen their faith and let them know You are near to them. Lead them to You and let the joy of the Lord sing in their souls.

Bless Israel with salvation and let them know that You are near to them. Let them rejoice in the salvation of the Lord.

Give our nation a repentant heart. Let us be a witness to others by our gentleness and the joy in our hearts!

In Christ alone
