Dwelling in the Secret Place

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: My God; in him will I trust. Psalm 91:1-2

Today, Father, I don’t have words to express the many different emotions that are colliding in us. We are grateful for Your lovingkindness; we are humbled by the salvation through Jesus Christ. We cannot fully comprehend Your unfailing love.

Yet, we live in a world full of anger and hurt and loss. Be our refuge and our fortress as we wait on You to deliver our families from the evil one. Let us trust in You and abide in Your shadow, staying close to Your redemption and in the secret place.

Our children and spouses are a gift from You. We don’t understand why some of them are struggling to abide in You. We trust You will be their refuge.

Some of them are hiding in Your fortress and we thank You that they trust You. Let them grow in faith and be disciples of Christ. Give the ones out in the world a drawing, a pull to hide in You and to run to You.

Strengthen their hearts to see You more clearly. Protect them today and guard them. Surround them in Your love and bring them to Your fortress.

Give our husbands the desire to live in Your fortress, give them hope to trust in Your strength. Let them abide in Your Word and grow strong in the safety of Your love.

Bless our grandchildren with the desire to trust You. Please show them the joy of living in Your shadow and walking safely next to You. Let them see Your glory and know it is protecting them.

Guard them from evil and draw them into Your fortress. Let them live and love in Your peace. We love them, we know that You love them more.

Give Jerusalem peace and take off the blinders of Your people so they may also trust in You.

Bless our nation with Godly desires and let us be forgiven of our sins.

In Christ alone
