Battle of the Lord

Updated: Feb 26

“All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.” 1 Samuel 17:47

Father, we bless the God who saves, we are helpless before the enemy, but the battle is Yours and not ours. We are in awe of the great deeds You have done to save Your people. Today, we ask for the same great saving power to deliver our sons and daughters, our families from the enemy. We know that You don’t need our swords or spears because the battle is Yours. You have defeated him and we will see the salvation of the Lord be made full and complete in their hearts. Bless them today with willing hearts and a desire for You deep in their souls. Bless them with the truth and set them free from the giants in their lands. Surround them with friends and spouses and co-workers who love You and know the power of Your right hand, the power of Jesus. Give them the freedom to walk boldly to the throne of grace and defeat the giant.

Bless Israel and comfort them as they face another great challenge. Father, use this to turn them back to You and give them the wisdom to call on Your name. Protect them and guide them as they enter this conflict.

Bless our nation with wise and Godly leaders and rulers, give them the wisdom to know that it is by Your great Hand, by Jesus alone that we can live quiet and peaceful lives. Bless us with repentant hearts and forgive us for the sins we have committed. Forgive us for the rebellion spirit and open our eyes to see You.

You are our mighty God who saves and fights for us, we are thankful and we worship You

In Christ alone.
