What does the Lord require?

He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you, but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8

Father, You have not only saved us from our transgressions, but You have instructed us on what is good. You require us to be just when we consider a matter, and to be merciful to those who need mercy. You also require our humility before You. Father, forgive us when we are full of ourselves and think more highly of ourselves than we should. Forgive us and let us have a servant’s heart. We pray that Your great power and Your great salvation is made full in our children and families. We turn from trying to fix them and impose our will on their lives. We humbly pray for them, and we ask for Your mercy on them. Father, hold back Your justice and deliver to them the mercy that You ask from us. Father, lead them into relationships and situations that Your great power is revealed to their hearts. Give them understanding of justice and not fairness. Turn them from man’s ways and let them walk humbly before You.

Bless Israel with peace and joy. Let them turn to You and be in peace. Bless our nation with Godly leaders and rulers. Deliver us from the debased mind and let us, as a nation, walk humbly before You.

We praise the God Who gives us Life, make us Your servants to follow You.

In Christ alone
