He comforts us

If I say, “My foot slips,”

Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up.

In the multitude of my anxieties within me,

Your comforts delight my soul.  Psalms 94:18-19

Father, we are comforted by Your presence and Your mercy. Our souls are delighted, and the anxieties melt away as we stand in Your presence. Father, we believe that if our foot slips and we slide into fear or anger or frustration or even unbelief about our families, that You are mighty to save. We know that You will hold us up and not let us fall. You hold us. Thank You, we rest in You.

Bless our children and families with the same comfort. Let them seek the true God who rescues. Keep them from deception and open their eyes to Your goodness and mercy. Let their anxieties be calmed and their trust in Your deliverance never fail them. We hope and we pray; we trust that they will delight in You all the days of their lives. Preserve them from the enemy and let us take joy in our coming King together.

Bless Israel, the cruelty around the world is growing and we hate the lies and hate directed to Your people. Strengthen them and comfort them and let them delight in You. The persecuted and killed and imprisoned are alone, send them aid and Your presence. Let the multitude of anxieties never overwhelm them as they face torture and death.

Forgive our nation and bring us revival. Have mercy on us. We trust that the heart of the kings all over the world are in Your hands and Your will is being done on earth as it is in heaven. Let Your comfort delight our souls for Your mercy holds us up.

In Christ alone
