the Rock

I waited patiently for the Lord;

And He inclined to me,

And heard my cry.

2He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,

Out of the miry clay,

And set my feet upon a rock,

And established my steps.   Psalms 40:1-2

Father, we thank You for Your many blessings on our lives. You are our Almighty God and Savior, and we humble ourselves before You. As we cry out to You, bring us out of the horrible pit of our own egos and set our feet upon a rock. We pray for mercy on our families. Strengthen our children and families and hear our cry. Bring them out of the miry clay of unbelief that clings to them. Give them hope and establish their steps to follow You. Set them on the rock of their salvation, Jesus.

There are many believers who are enduring much hardship in this world. Persecutions and death surround them. Guide them by Your Holy Spirit to stand fast in their testimonies.

We pray for the peace of Israel. Comfort those who have lost much and strengthen their hearts. Bring repentance to them and remove the blinders from their eyes.

Forgive our country for our evil, turn us, we, Your people, repent, show our leaders the path of righteousness.

Come quickly Lord Jesus, come quickly
