But now, O LORD, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand. Isaiah 64:8
LORD, our Father, we are the creation of Your hands. When we despair of ourselves, when we are angry at our failures and when we sin again, we know that You are taking us into Your hands and molding us, shaping us, and creating a work in us. That is beyond comfort, it gives us hope. We have hope knowing that You take a lump of clay and turn it into something that You want. We want to be pleasing to You and we want to be beautiful to a glorious God. We want the pain and failures and sins of our children and families to be used in making a work that serves You and Your purpose. Mold them, shape them and transform them into a living vessel that is full of Your grace and joy. Let them submit to Your hands and be shaped by Your love. Bless them and protect them, surround them with Your love. Send them people who will encourage them as they are being pressed into Your will. We thank You that their lives are in Your hands and You are making something beautiful out of the clay.
Bless Israel and prosper them, give them hearts that know You and let them be in peace as they turn back to the God of their fathers,
The deception is growing daily in our nation, forgive us for our sins and restore us to Your love. Heal our land and let us serve You as a quiet and peaceful people. Bless us with Jesus and open the eyes of our hearts to know You.
We praise You, the Creator and we ask that You mold us into Your image,
In Christ alone
