The armies of the Lord

So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha 2 Kings 6:16-17

Lord, God Almighty, we are blind to the things are not of this world. We become afraid and tired from the battle and forget that Your army is mighty. Today, open our eyes to see the glory of Your great power. Give us sight to see that You fight for us and we are not alone. There are many things facing us as we go about sharing Your Word and we want to know that we are surrounded by Your armies. We believe that You are fighting for our children and our families. We trust that there is a great host, protecting them and fighting for them. Open their eyes to see the glory of a Risen King. Let them see that the fight is not for earthly things, but the fight is for their eternal lives. Surround them with believers who will walk with them. Give them Jonathans who will encourage their faith and strengthen them. Give them jobs and homes and situations that bring them to the realization of Your great power, open their eyes to see Jesus. Forgive them for the rebellion and reveal to them the Lord of the Hosts.

Bless Israel and take the blinders off their eyes. Protect them and comfort the hearts of those who hear the battle daily. Father, prosper them and let them live in peace. Bless our nation with repentance and prick the hearts of the ungodly to turn to You. The lies and the deception are subtle and entice our leaders and rulers to follow idols. Have mercy on us and let us stand with Jesus as a people.

We praise You, You are at rest, the battle is won. Let us rest with You, our glorious King

In Christ alone
