Promise of Jesus

Now the Lord said to Abram,

“Go forth from your country,

And from your relatives

And from your father’s house,

To the land which I will show you;

And I will make you a great nation,

And I will bless you,

And make your name great;

And so you shall be a blessing;

And I will bless those who bless you,

And the one who curses you I will curse.

And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” Genesis 12:1-3

Father, we come before You today and we thank You. We thank You that You, our Father, honors Your Word. We are amazed at Your promises to Abraham. We are humbled by the righteousness You freely give to those who believe. As we study and meditate on Your Word, let faith arise in our hearts. We pray for the faith that Abraham had, the faith that believes You honor Your promises. Give us the faith to believe that our families are Yours. Faith to believe Your Word, planted deep in their hearts, still works life in them. We are blessed through Jesus Who came to us through Your promises to Abraham.

We thank You for our children and families. We thank You for Your faithfulness to love them even when we despair. Thank You for being a loving God who rescues the lost and hurting. Thank You for never leaving or forsaking them. Thank You that You alone know everything, and we can believe on You.

We trust that You are working in our children and families.  You gave them to us, just as You gave Isaac to Abraham.

 So, now we trust and we believe in a God who is bigger than addictions, bigger than sins, bigger than hurts and rebellion. We submit in the timing of Your plan. Our deliverer, Jehovah Jireh, our provider. You provide our peace and a place of peace. We give You praise and glory, God of all.

In Christ alone
