our thoughts

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2 Corinthians 10:5

and

“But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts ^rwill be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ” 2 Corinthians 11:3

Father, the One who made Adam and Eve, the One Who made the serpent, we come before You with humbleness. We know that we too can be deceived by the serpent’s cunning. Teach us to bring our thoughts into captivity and be in obedience to Christ.

We pray for wisdom to cast down our imaginations that tells us we can be our own god. We bring our thoughts into captivity to You, so we are not led astray as Eve was by the serpent.

We are thankful that You give us hope. When we can't see an end to our trials and we are being deceived.  You, our amazing God, are working in the unseen world and the knowledge that You, our Elohim are higher than anything we can conceive.  

Your perfect timing is bringing good out of our situation. Be glorified Father in us, be glorified in our children and families. Free them from the deception of the ages. Show them how to fight the deception of unbelief, anger, hurts, grief, and discouragement. We trust that You are working in their hearts and in their lives to bring good. Bless them with the power to bring their thoughts into captivity, so they may live in service to You. Give them the peace and let them see Your glorious freedom that comes by keeping their thoughts in sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

Bless Israel with peace and comfort. Show them the deception of Eve, that they cannot be wise without You and have a need of their Creator and Savior.

Bless our nation and bring us into revival. We have eaten the fruit of victimhood and self-righteous thinking.

Help us keep our thoughts on You and Your wonderful Love. You alone are worthy to be praised.
