Knowing Christ

I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead. Philippians 3:10

Father, we want to know Christ, Your Son who suffered for us. We want to know the Savior Who took our sin and was resurrected. We want to attain to the resurrection from the dead and become like Him. Take us and shape us and take hold of us. Let us know Christ and be transformed. Teach our families, teach them about the power of His resurrection and take hold of them so they may attain to the resurrection from the dead. Show them that the power of His resurrection is what transforms them into His image. Let them know Him and stir their hearts to desire to know Him in such as way that they are overtaken and become like Him.

Father, cover Israel with Your feathers and shelter them under Your wings. Heal the brokenhearted, mend the wounded and bring comfort to those who mourn. Let Your presence be a balm to the suffering and a shield for the vulnerable.

Father our God, “be gracious to us and bless us and make Your face shine on us” as a nation. Give us strength but let us be peaceful. Let our justice be mixed with mercy and make us generous as we share the Light that shines for freedom and righteousness in a needy world.

Praise Your Holy name

In Christ alone
