Kingdom of God

But when Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian, heard it, they laughed us to scorn, and despised us, and said, What is this thing that ye do? will ye rebel against the king? Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore, we his servants will arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem. Nehemiah 2:19-20

Our Father, our God Who is in heaven, prosper us and let us arise and build. The enemy taunts us, he ridicules us and he despises us. He accuses us of rebellion and other evil deeds. We have grieved for our families, and our children, we have worried, fretted, and repented. You will prosper us as we arise and build our lives in service to Your kingdom. We will build because he has no part of us, sin was defeated at the cross, he has no rights to us, You have bought us with a great price. Our sins are no longer memorialized; they have been wiped clean by the blood of the Lamb. We rise and we build walls of protection for our hearts. We rebuild the walls that have been burned and torn down, through our own neglect and rebellion. We repent and ask that You wash us clean and clear the rubble of our past. Let us build, brick by brick the walls of Your Kingdom in our hearts. Give us the wisdom to carry a sword in one hand and a trowel in the other. We rebuild our families and the heritage You gave us. We rebuild what was stolen and we know You will prosper the work of our hands as we rebuild. Restore our families and repair the walls of Your Kingdom in their hearts. Be glorified in them and heal them, heal their souls and rebuild them. Give them the Sword of the Spirit so they can speak the Word and give them a trowel so they can repair the broken walls. Bless them with friends and companions who also carry a sword and a trowel and let them work together to set Your city in the middle of their hearts.

Bless Israel and build the city walls again, make Jerusalem Your home once more and rule us with Your great mercy. Open their eyes and give them the desire to rebuild their faith and their hope in You. Bless them. Bless our nation with wisdom and the understanding that we need to both repent and carry a sword. Forgive us and equip us to bless Israel and the world with the gospel of Your Son, Jesus. You are our amazing God and we are Your servants,
