Jesus the Overcomer

These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. John 16:33

Father, the joy of having a God Who saves, Who rescues and Who loves us is a delight to our souls. We thank You this morning for the joy of being Yours and we give You our hearts and minds today. Guide us through the day with Your peace. The world feels confusing right now; there is war and rumors of war. We see our families’ struggles and our friends’ trials. We can become overwhelmed with the sorrow of the persecution of Your saints.  You told us to ask in Jesus’ name, and we ask today that we may have peace. We are joyful to know that You have overcome the world that would destroy our children and our families. We take heart in that You have provided a way for them and have overcome the enemy that would destroy them. You are the God of Peace, the true Peace that gives them life. We thank You that You are surrounding them with other believers who will show them the comfort of following You. We know that the trouble in this world cannot take them from You. We trust You and we love You, we ask for their healing in their bodies and in their souls.

Bless Israel with peace and prosper them in this time of conflict. Turn their hearts back to the faith of their fathers and give them strength and comfort. They endure much and they need You as they listen to bombs night and day.

Bless our nation with wise leaders who are guided by Your will. Give us peace and let us take joy in Your victory.

Father, Your Son Jesus told us to ask in His name, and that You love us because we love You and believe He came from You.

So, we ask, In Christ alone.
