Fear the Lord

Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones. Proverbs 3:7

Father, we try to think our way through a problem. We reason and scheme and plan. Today, we turn away from our own thoughts and instead, put our hearts and minds into Your hands. We turn from plotting to achieve our will and we submit to Yours. We trust You and we humbly give You praise and thanksgiving. We honor You this morning with a holy awe and reverence. We turn from evil and we bow down. We believe that our children and families loved by You. We trust that You have died for them as well. We honor the power of the Holy Spirit and Your desire to bring them into a right relationship with You. We will rest in Your glory and know that You are fighting for them. We revere You in all of Your power and we believe that You never leave or forsake us. We are refreshed by the wonder of Your love. Bless them and keep them.

Bless Israel with peace and bring them to the saving knowledge of Jesus. Bless our nation with humility and desire to serve You. Open our eyes to the deception of the enemy and give us leaders and rulers who love You.

You, our amazing Mighty God, are to be praised forever and ever.
