Daily Prayer

There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. 'Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience. 'Hebrews 4:9-11

 Here we are, Father, still, again, always, yearning and asking. We are pleading for salvation and deliverance and blessings for our children. We are quieting ourselves before You and leaning on You. Consciously, deliberately, we are trusting. Repenting for our fears and laboring to rest in You. Actively bringing our thoughts into captivity and asking for Your peace. Reminding ourselves, You are God. You are holy, You are Creator of all things. You are all powerful. We are not. Without Christ, we are helpless. You gave us this terrible, excruciating gift of life through the death of Jesus. . Let us embrace and walk free of guilt and fear today. Give us rest. Once again, we stand before You, free of our own works and ask that our families receive Your gift of life and the Holy Spirit's indwelling. We ask that they learn to rest in You and You alone. We trust that You are working in their hearts and minds. In the deep parts we can't see, You are forging and creating and forming men and women that love You and live in Your perfect will. We submit, we trust, we turn it over to You.  In Christ alone

But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head.

I cried to the Lord with my voice, And He heard me from His holy hill. Psalms 2:3-4

Father, You are my shield, when the world comes at us fast and we are discouraged and our heads hang low, but You, our Holy God, lift them up so we can see You again. We cry out to You today and You hear us, we cry out for You to arise and save us from the enemy. We cry out and ask that You save our families from the enemies who would destroy them. Lift up their heads so they can see You and watch as You deliver them from the lies and rebellion that would keep them in bondage. You hear us from Your holy hill, and You answer our cry for help. Help our families, shield them from the lies and deception of the world. We adore You, the shield who protects them everywhere they go. We praise You. You are the God and King of the universe, and You hear our yearning for them. We give them to You and trust You are using all these things to bring about Your perfect will in our hearts.

Bless Israel with peace and give them strength to face the coming onslaught. Open their hearts to hear You and be the shield that protects them. Lift up their heads so they can see the salvation of the Lord.

Bless our nation, heal our divisions, heal us from the hate and anger that is stirred up between us. Shield us from the enemy who would destroy this nation. Lift up the heads and the hearts of our rulers and leaders, stir them to cry out to You for deliverance. Save them and let us live in a quiet and peaceful land.

You are our holy God who saves, we adore You

In Christ alone

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:11

Father, we cannot begin to fathom what You have done, all the mysteries of the universe remain hidden to us, but knowing that You set eternity in our hearts, that we yearn to know You and to be with You. We thank You, our families, have the same awareness of You in their hearts, You made them in Your image. All things will be made beautiful in time and we pray that they turn and seek You in all of their life. You can take the suffering and the pain and the disappointments and make our families beautiful in Your sight. You can fulfill that longing that they don’t understand. Bring them to You so they may see their eternity in You.

Bless Israel and give them hope, let them hear the eternity in their hearts and call on Your name. Bless our nation with freedom from deception, make us beautiful to You.

Bless our rulers and our leaders, give them a desire for You, break the bonds that would hold them captive and let them be beautiful in Your eyes. We praise You and we are in awe of Your power, our Holy God who saves
