Abide

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32

Father, thank You for another day, thank You for the breath in our bodies and thank You that You sent us the Word. Let the Word abide in us and let us be Your disciples. We pray that the truth is known to us and we are free, free from sin and death. We pray that the Word finds a place in the hearts of our children and families. We pray that the Truth sets them free and they abide in You. Father, make them Your disciples, the Word is in them, set them free from the bondage of anger, rebellion, addiction and hurt. Bless them with friends and random strangers who will show them the Truth of Your Word. We pray that they have a hunger to follow You and abide in You all the days of their lives.

We pray for the peace of Jerusalem and we know that You are the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. We bless Your Holy name and we thank You that You are faithful to fulfill the covenant You made with them. Bless them and let the Truth live in them.

We ask that the Truth rule and reign over our nation. We pray for our leaders and rulers. We ask that we continue to live in a country that allows us the freedom to worship You publicly. We pray for the Truth to be revealed and the deception to lose its power over us. Bless us and keep us

We praise You, for You are Holy and have given us the Truth of Life
