Wait

Though it tarries, wait for it. Habakkuk 2:3

Father, as we lay down at night, we feel the weight of our children’s souls, we know the dangers of rebellion. You have delivered us of so much and we thank You, but we know, we know how youth gives us a false sense of power. Our hearts are heavy with the dangers of this world as we see our sweet families following other gods. We wait, we wait for children and families to grow near to You. We pray that they will be stirred and reminded of Your great power and Your love. We wait, we wait and we watch for Your hand to move in their lives, and we hope. Father, bless them today with hearts that love You. Bless them with faith and protect them from the seduction of this world. Bless them with wisdom to discern that You are the only God and the King of all. Bless them with other believers who will point to You. Nothing is impossible to You and You can speak a thing, and it will happen. You have spoken to us that You will be faithful to the Word that is planted in their hearts. Your promised that our households would be saved, but You also told us to seek You over all else and so we look to You this morning. We ask and we wait.

Bless Israel as the prophets of old are being fulfilled, bless them as they are returned to the homeland and give them the eyes to see. Let them wait in patience for Your redemption and give them the joy of knowing the Christ.

Bless our nation with repentance. Give us the strength to wait and not grow bitter and weary. Give us wisdom and discerning as the world is swept away into a deep hatred for Your people. Let our  nation’s leaders and rulers stand beside Your people and trust You in all things.

We praise You and we bless You and we wait

In Christ alone
