Run

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, Hebrews 12:1

Father, we want to run the race that is before us with endurance. We want to run and be free from the sin that slows us down and keeps us, instead, hobbled and slow. We want to run, forgive us for the sin that tangles us and weighs us down at every turn. We think we are free and then the sin of doubting creeps in. Condemnation for our past failures start weighing us down and we can’t run. We have dreams and hopes for our families and we easily get discouraged and fear for their futures. Let us run, let us run, laying aside those doubts about Your great love and Your sweet forgiveness. We have not always held fast to Your Word and have failed our families in difficult times, forgive us before all of creation and restore us to the freedom that You so dearly bought for us. Let our families, run, teach them lay aside the weight of the world and the sins of the past and run the race that is before them. Show them the freedom of giving You the burden and submitting to a God Who loves them and equips them to serve. Bless them today with friends who have the peace and strength to continue in the faith and will encourage their hearts to trust You and lay down all unbelief and trust You. Give them protection from the enemy and set them free to run.

Bless Israel with peace and wisdom today as they fight another day, reveal Jesus to their hearts and comfort them as they mourn the lost. Bless our nation with the wisdom to throw off the chains of deception and see the truth of our Savior.

We praise You and bless Your Holy Name.

In Christ alone
