Trust

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5

LORD God, Yah-Weh, You have given us minds and information, and we are accountable to use the skills You have given us. Yet, You told us that understanding only comes from Your wisdom. We think, we reason out a path for ourselves, and we do not trust You. We lean on our own understanding instead of Your Word. Teach us to trust You with all our hearts.

We pray that our children and families will give up the world’s reasoning and lean on You instead. Give them the wisdom that comes from You and let them grow in understanding. Bless them with faith. Reveal to them the glory of Your wisdom and transform them into mighty men and women who love You and trust You alone. We pray that You break the trust they have with the world and give them the knowledge that comes from You. Heal them, forgive them, and let them trust You with a whole heart.

Israel, Your promised people, are fighting for their lives, give them the humility to trust in You and not their own understanding. Bless them and strengthen their hearts so they can trust You.

Our nation is full of human logic and reasoning and easily swayed by lies. Forgive us and teach us how to trust You. We have sinned before You by placing our will above Yours. Show us the way to depend on Your grace and mercy.

Thank You for giving us Your Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth.

In Christ alone
