The Good Shepherd

Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Psalm 100:3

Father, You are our God and our Lord Who made us, we are Yours and we lie down in the green pastures knowing that we are Your people. We give thanks for the great gift of living under Your watchful care. We thank You for our children and families, that they too are Yours and You made them. You know their temptations and the things that have molded and shaped their hearts and minds. You know everything about them, You know the gifts and talents You have placed in them. You know exactly what is needed to bring them into the safety of Your care. You know how to herd the sheep into green pastures. Father, show them the goodness of being Your people and being protected by the Good Shepherd. Give them the joy of being surrounded by other believers and living in the presence of the Holy God Who made them.

We pray for the peace of Jerusalem; we pray for the courage and heart of the Israelites as they face nonstop hate and violence. We pray for the IDF as they deal with terrible atrocities in the battle. Bless them and strengthen them to believe in Jesus, the Christ. Bless our nation and let us love You. Forgive us and have mercy on us. Restore us to once more be a light to the world and let us share the gospel to the world. We praise You for Your goodness and mercy, the God Who made us.

In Christ alone.
