The crooked paths

“I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, and the crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, and not forsake them” (Isaiah 42: 16 NKJV).

Father, we were blind and wouldn’t know the way if You hadn’t led us to You. Your light shines on us and You make the crooked paths of our lives straight. You untangle our fears and our hurts that give us crooked thinking and give us a way to You. We praise You. Bring our families to You. Lead them into new paths, paths they have never seen before and lead them to You in new ways. Make the darkness of the life here full of light so they can follow You. Make the crooked paths of human reasonings and twisted pain straight so they make come You. Father, do not forsake them and bring them to You.

Bring Israel to You and show them the light of the Life of Jesus, bring them peace and protect them against the hate and anger that is rising up here on this earth. Heal them and comfort them as they war.

Bless our nation and keep us from turning against Your people. Lead our rulers and our kings down the paths that are now straight. Show them with the light the joy of blessing Your people and giving us a quiet and peaceful land. Deliver us from evil

You alone are the faithful God who will never forsake us

We praise You

in Christ alone
