The 99 and 1

Our Good Shepherd

What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing Luke 15:4-5

Father our great God, Who loves us, You have given us the Great Shepherd. We trust You, we trust that You love our children more than we do. We know that you leave the 99 to find the one who has strayed.  Father, our children need You. Some of them are in open rebellion, some are hurt and confused, some are drawn away by the world's deception, but You won't leave them outside the flock. We believe that You are strengthening and leading and loving our children and families  into Your loving arms.  Father, speak to their hearts, hide them in Your love so that temptation and evil can't hold them. Deliver them from this world.  We believe Father, help our unbelief.   Please send them someone who will walk beside them. Someone who meets them where they are in their faith. Someone who understands their journey and can minister grace to them.   Renew their minds, restore their faith, create in them a clean heart and renew in them a right spirit.   We place our trust in You and not ourselves. We give our families to You. We love them, but we know that Jesus is the perfect Shepherd and we rest in His perfect sacrifice.
