Good Shepherd

When He has brought out all his own, He goes before them, and the sheep follow Him, for they know His voice. A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers. John 10:4

Father, let us hear and know the voice of our Good Shepherd and no other voice. Please go before us and let us follow You into green pastures and still waters.  Give us the wisdom to flee from the false shepherd and not follow the stranger’s voice. Teach our children and our families to know the Shepherd by His voice. Give them wisdom and keep them from being deceived by the false prophets and shepherds who would lead them into destruction. Bless them and lead them to You. Deliver them from the sin of following their own ways and give them the humility of a sheep following His Master to the sheep fold. Let them flee from the false shepherd. Please surround them with the sounds of Your love and mercy and make them deaf to the voice of the strangers.

Bless Israel with peace and wisdom as they fight for their existence. Bless them with hearts that are turned to the YHWH who delivered them from Egypt. Prepare their hearts to receive Jesus, the good Shepherd, bless them today and comfort them.

Bless our nation and deliver us from the stranger and let us hear Your voice as a people, lead us into Your paths of righteousness and anoint our heads with oil. Forgive us and restore us as a nation who honors You and believes in our Good Shepherd. Bring salvation to our land and give us hearts that honor You, the Almighty God who protects us and gives us rest.

In Christ alone
