Fear of the Lord

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever! Psalms 111: 10

Father, we are in awe of You, our mighty Creator. Let us walk in holy reverence of Your Majesty. As we learn to humble our hearts in the sight of Your greatness, Your wisdom begins to grow in our spirits. As it grows, our understanding of Your love and glory increases and we are even more in awe of You and Your Son. Today we pray for our children and families. We desire that they share the awe of a mighty God Who saves, a God Who never fails, a God Who loves them. Father, give them humble and reverent hearts so they might be wise and have good understanding. We pray for wisdom to be practiced in their lives, and they learn of Your mercy. Give them understanding of the greatness of our Holy God Who has always been and will always be, a God Whose love endures forever and ever. Let us sing praises with them to our Mighty God.!

Bless Isreal with the fear of the Lord and let the beginning of wisdom rise up and show them how to practice it. Comfort the grieving mothers, calm the children and strengthen the soldiers so they might call on Your name! Our leaders hearts are in Your hands we pray that You bring the fear of the Lord to them and let wisdom guide them as they rule us. Give them understanding of the King and praise You all forever.

In Christ alone
