Enter into His rest

“For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief” Hebrews 4:10-11

Good morning, Father, we want to rest in Your peace. We struggle to cease from our own works and rest in You, but that is our desire. Let us continue the labor to stay in Your perfect peace. Forgive us for becoming discouraged and tempted to perform our own work. We know You want us to rest in Your faithfulness. Give us rest concerning our children and families. Let us rest in Your goodness and trust that You are the God of all. You will never leave them or forsake them. We believe that You have completed Your work and You are resting, let us enter Your rest with You. Thank You for searching out the lost and hurting. We give You the glory for their salvation. We ask for Your mercy and protection for them.

Give us the heart to love others, let us love them with Your love. Bless us with Your wisdom in sharing this rest with others.

Bless Israel and defend Your people. Let the world know You are their God. Turn them back to You. Let them enter Your rest.

Give our leaders guidance as they rule during these times of turmoil. Let us serve You as a nation. Forgive us for our rebellion and sins against You. Show us how to cease from our own works and trust You with a whole heart.
