“and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.” Psalm 50:15

Father, we need Your deliverance. The enemy is surrounding us, the world has become vile and just as You told us it would, shameless. When we look around, we see anger, self-righteousness, pain and hurt on the faces of our neighbors, and yes even our children and families. We call on You this morning to deliver us, so we might glorify You.

We ask that our children and families call on You and You deliver them. We pray for their hearts and their souls. They need You and they need the Savior to deliver them from the lies and deceptions that come from the world and the ones that come from our false teachers. We see the struggles they are experiencing. The subtle lies are insidious; we cannot fight them, but You, our Lord can. We pray, we ask and we know You will place in them a desire and a hunger for You. We pray that their heart cry is for Your deliverance and they glorify You. We seek You for their salvation and we are bringing our thoughts and our fears to Your throne.

We pray for the peace of Jerusalem and we bless Your people. We pray they call out to You in the day of their trouble and they seek Your Son, Jesus.

We repent because of the corruption and evil in our government. Have mercy on us and give us leaders who love You and call on Your name in times of trouble. Bless them and protect them from the wiles of the enemy.

May our lives bring You glory, O Lord!

In Christ alone
