Love

And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8

Father, we love You, You have given us a gift of Life and we thank you. Teach us how to love others. Let us love them with Your love, not a love that seeks to be affirmed, or a love that has our interests in it, but Your love. Your love never fails and we desire to love our families, neighbors, churches, and country with the love that covers a multitude of sins. Forgive us and let us love the body of Christ and forgive one another as You forgive us. Give us Your love for our children and families. Let us love them with a fervent love that covers the hurts and the disappointments that happen through this life. Some of them are not believers and we protect ourselves by withholding love. Give us a white-hot fervent love and desire for their salvation and their reconciliation to You. Bless us with the Love that passes our understanding and let us love them with a pure love.

We pray for Israel, we pray for their salvation, we know You are a faithful God and we thank You for honoring Your covenant with them. We pray for our nation and we ask for the love to overflow out of us, the love that transforms and changes. Bless us and return us to Your love. We pray for the earthquake victims all over the world as they climb out of the rubble of their lives. We ask that You send help to them and salvation to their hearts so they may meet Jesus in these dark hours. Bless them and comfort them.
